GMC’s public consultation site has a number of ongoing consultations to which individuals can contribute their views.
One we believe CHFG supporters might be interested in is entitled: ‘Reform of the fitness to practise procedures at the GMC – changes to the way we deal with cases at the end of an investigation.’
They are seeking views on the proposals to reform the GMC’s approach to dealing with fitness to practise cases at the end of an investigation. The proposals in this consultation are designed to achieve a fast and effective approach to fitness to practise which is fair and sensitive to the needs of all involved, while ensuring that they continue to protect patients appropriately.
This is our opportunity to make sure that the GMC hears our voice – if you would like to know more and contribute to the consultation follow this link. Please note that the consultation period closes on April 11th, 2011.
