Elaine’s story

Here you can read an anonymous version of Elaine’s report, the Inquest Verdict and the corrected timeline based on the report and Inquest data combined.

The Case of Elaine Bromiley

A teaching video has also been produced that is based on Elaine’s case.

Patient Voices

We are frequently approached by Patients who themselves, or a family member, have suffered harm or a bereavement caused by error within the NHS.

Each case is unique and those affected are often at different stages in their journey, for some it has just happened, others are working through a legal investigation and for many it is about telling their story, so that others may learn.

We want to make sure that you find the best help and support, no matter where you are in the journey.

I have seen this video often and heard Martin speak at Conferences and as a Nurse lecturer teaching student nurses, I often refer to Martins story both in delivery of theory and in the Simulation suite. I have had an interest in this subject for many years both in there HM Forces and NHS and had the opportunity on occasion to work with staff in the aviation industry which the health service always refer to especially at Conferences but dot always follow up
    Many thanks
