There are increasing signs that the pandemic is forcing change—with the NHS taking human factors and ergonomics seriously.The Clinical Human Factors Group (CHFG) has produced a guide for NHS procurement teams, Selecting Safe and Easy to Use Products for Healthcare , to introduce human factors into procurement.
NHS Supply Chain has welcomed the guide, and Collette Longstaffe told The BMJ its teams are continually working with its procurement companies “to drive quality and ensure that human factors are included during the design and tender specifications
where possible.”
