Online e-learning Clinical Human Factors Foundation course
This Human Factors Foundation course is available as an on-demand self-paced online programme - including video modules, and quizzes. The course provides a foundation to the understanding of Human Factors in the healthcare environment and how human error can affect patient safety. The course completion time is approximately 12 learning hours. On successful completion of this course GAT will issue Human Factors Foundation certification.

Clinical Human Factors Foundation course
The Clinical Human Factors Foundation course is 1 day and is suitable for all healthcare staff.  The course provides a foundation to the understanding of Human Factors in the healthcare environment and how human error can affect patient safety.  The training develops non-technical skills that complement technical competency and includes teamwork, situational awareness, decision making, communication and workload management.

Human Factors Managers course
The Human Factors Managers course is 3 days and suitable for all mangers, supervisors, team leaders and all healthcare staff wishing to gain an in-depth understanding of Human Factors in healthcare.  The training assists the development of a cohesive environment among team members in which all personnel feel empowered to speak up if they suspect a problem.  An in depth understanding of the causes of human error develops the ability to take a proactive approach to the avoidance, trapping and mitigation of errors.

Human Factors Trainers course
The Global Air Training Human Factors Trainer programme has been continually developed over 20 years and is widely recognised worldwide. The Trainer’s course is 5 days. The course and provided materials cover a comprehensive basis of Healthcare Human Factors training and include examples and case studies of HF related patient safety incidents. The course emphasises development of facilitation skills which are crucial to effective Human Factors training. The training provides the required knowledge, skills and materials to enable the participant to deliver effective, practical Human Factors training within their individual operating environments.
