University Hospital Birmingham is delighted to announce its first human factors masterclass aimed at senior leaders within healthcare organisations across the Midlands region and developed with the support and collaboration of the CIEHF, the CHFG and WMPSC.

In healthcare, human factors and ergonomics is now recognised as integral to patient safety, staff wellbeing and system performance, and the hospital has invested in the development of a Human Factors Faculty to raise awareness of human factors and ergonomics and support its implementation with the organisation.

The Masterclass will enable leaders to develop practical strategies that can be implemented to integrate human factors into their organisation. It will highlight how these changes are essential to a successful, evolving organisation and how the implementation of human factors and ergonomics delivers operational benefits, cost savings, improved staff moral and, most importantly, better patient outcomes.
